Breaking Fast

The last movie I wrote about here was Call Me By Your Name and I made that post in November of 2018. A LOT has happened in our world since then …

I am back to post about another movie, Breaking Fast. Not only is this movie beautifully written, the acting is heartfelt and perfect. I found myself crying on multiple occasions, crying as I identified with loss, crying as I identified with shame, crying as I identified with guilt, crying as I identified with pain, and even crying when I identified with LOVE.

All Hail Bill Maher

If you have not had the chance to see Religulous in theaters, now is the time to go see it. This documentary on religion is incredibly eye opening. It was so comforting to have someone else reaffirm many of the beliefs I hold with regard to religion.

Since my own awakening in 1999, I have contended that religion was the one true evil in our world. What we have to realize as a species is that our collective thinking, no matter the focus, is a hugely powerful medium capable of moving mountains. It is the collective thinking of the egocentric religious right that is perpetuating the level of fear in our universe and bringing about the SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY they promote as PROPHECY and more importantly, “GOD’S WILL”.

See the movie [ IMDBiTunes ], if you don’t reflect upon religion’s role in your own life and its role in our world after doing so, that would be the ultimate testament to just how blind your faith is. I would then have to imagine that your faith lies more in the word of man than in the true words of God.
